DIG is known for architectural vignettes and plant savvy, creating a bridge connecting design and a haut-chic nursery. The owner is a graduate of the Chicago Art Institute shows and it shows in everything she does from building depth, texture, color, to seeing and knowing the best plant to use in the right location.
Ross’s expert mastery craftsmanship has a sense of whimsy. Elegant stone work always finished to the highest level of professionalism, yet he can add an unusual twist with found and salvaged materials that he repurposes for other roles in the landscape. Come to the nursery and be inspired by the colors, textures on display and say Hi to Sophie who should be basking in the sun in her reuse doghouse.

Hours: Open from dawn to dusk every day.

We are a small, family-maintained garden located on the northwest side of Seattle’s Capitol Hill, on a steep hillside. We garden over one acre, in several different pieces. Our private gardens surround our two houses on Broadway East, just north of the East Blaine Street stairway and are open by appointment. The newer portions of the garden, open to the public year round, comprises two sections. The first section lie south of the East Blaine stairs. In 1996 we donated these lots to the Seattle Department of Parks and Recreation, in conjunction with the city purchasing three lots, the second section, south of ours which were in danger of development. We now manage both parts as one garden.
