Welcome to NPA

The Northwest Perennial Alliance (NPA) is one of the largest nonprofit gardening organizations in Washington. Our mission is to help gardeners learn more about perennials and hardy plants that will thrive in the Pacific Northwest. We offer a wide range of activities, all run by volunteers:

  • September 11, Saturday, Fall Plant Sale - Don't miss The Fall Collection, a one-of-a-kind sale for savvy plant collectors. At Bellevue Botanical Garden, 10 - 2 pm. Read more.
  • September 19, Sunday, Annual Meeting & Lecture with Marty Wingate - Well-known Seattle writer, speaker and Master Gardener Marty Wingate will bring her considerable knowledge of international and Northwest gardens to our next program with her talk, "Bring It Home: Unpack those ideas from garden travels and use them at home." Doors open at noon for plant & seed sales, program starts at 1 pm, at CUH. NPA members free, nonmembers $10. Read more about Marty.

  • September 28, Tuesday, Bringing the Alchemy of Water into Your Garden with Laura Crockett - Garden designer Laura Crockett will help you understand how you can live the best possible life in your garden by sharing her insights into the history and the personal connection we have to water and the intrinsic characteristics of water features. Her talk will include images from around the world (and a dash of humor) that is sure to inspire and entertain you. 7 pm at the Queen Anne United Methodist Church, 1601 5th Avenue West. $5 per person.
