Culture Evergreen perennial hardy to USDA Zone 6 where it is easily grown in fertile, medium moisture, well-drained soils in part shade to full shade. Tolerates dry shade and drought once established. Noteworthy Characteristics Grows 6-10" tall and spreads to 16" wide. Slightly hairy, long-petioled leaves (3-4” long) form a basal foliage clump from which rise flowering stalks in spring to 10” tall topped by loose forget-me-not-like, blue to purple flowers with white eyes. Flowers have veining that radiates outward from the center giving a star-like appearance.
