Description

Culture Best grown in rich, humusy, evenly moist, well-draining soil in part to full shade. Hardy in Zones 6-9. Noteworthy Characteristics Beesia deltophylla, known simply as beesia, is a mounding to creeping, evergreen ground cover that spreads slowly by underground rhizomes. This plant is native to the forested slopes of southeastern Tibet. Mature clumps will reach up to 18" tall and spread to fill a 2' wide area. The leaves (up to 3.5" long and 2" wide) are heart-shaped, glossy, and deep green in color. Flowering stalks (up to 12" long) adorned with small white flowers (only 0.25" in diameter) appear in mid to late spring
