Join NPA Open Gardens Co-Chair Donna Bogumill as she shares tips and inspiration for gardeners who want to take better photos and see gardens in fun new ways.
Taking photos of gardens – our own or those we visit – enables us to capture and share fleeting moments of beauty that might otherwise be missed or quickly forgotten. The very act of taking photos helps to focus our attention on all of the visual elements of the garden, from the big picture to the smallest details. On the practical side, photography provides an easy way to record what’s happening in the garden at any given time, what’s working well and what isn’t, and to capture ideas from gardens we visit.
Whether you take photos with your phone, a point-and-shoot camera, or a high-end SLR camera, you'll come away with ideas, tips, and inspiration for taking more photos, getting better results, and having fun in the process.
