No Lawn Landscape?!

Are you ready to lose your lawn? No matter the climate zone, and no matter how little sense they make in some situations, lawns are the default choice of ground covering in North America, but it doesn’t need to be that way. Without lawn we have more opportunities to enjoy diverse plantings and welcome wildlife. We also increase our opportunities to manage storm water, limit supplemental water use, and reduce fossil fuel and chemical pollution. We will explore the advantages of eliminating lawn and gain strategies for designing delightful outdoor spaces for relaxing, socializing, playing, and passionate gardening.
