'Promise of Spring' Lecture Event:

Private Gardens of the Pacific Northwest

Presented by:  Dr. Brian D. Coleman

Plant Sale & Social - Noon to 1 pm

Lecture - 1 pm

Join NPA for an in-person social event at BBG to help chase away the winter doldrums, and enjoy the 'Promise of Spring' to come. 2022 NPA members are FREE, but should register to guarantee a seat (walk-ins are okay, but not guaranteed a seat). We will serve light refreshments, and offer a selection of lovely plants to buy!

*See BBG COVID attendance requirements below - proof of vaccination or negative test required at door for admittance*

Brian Coleman's lecture presentation features selections from his gorgeous new book 'Private Gardens of the Pacific Northwest'. Many of the gardens featured in his book are owned by NPA members! The photographs are stunning, and Brian will have signed copies of his book available to purchase at this event.

About the Speaker:  Brian D. Coleman, MD, divides his time between Seattle and New York. An old-house enthusiast, he has transformed his home into a stunning vista and developed an active second career as an architectural writer. Brian is the author of 21 books on the decorative arts. He has also written numerous articles on architecture, interior design, and historic home design for magazines and is an editor-at-large for Old-House Interiors.

A recording of this Presentation will be available to all NPA members after the event, but attending in person is the best way to socialize with your fellow gardening friends, maybe buy the book - and shop at our Plant Sale, which features winter-interest plants to brighten your garden.

* BBG COVID Requirements:  Masks are required in all indoor spaces at the Bellevue Botanical Garden, including restrooms, for everyone 5 years and over, regardless of vaccination status. In addition, people 12 years and older that attend an in-person program in the Aaron Education Center at the Bellevue Botanical Garden will be required to show proof of full COVID-19 vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of the program start, in compliance with Seattle – King County Public Health regulations.
