Fern Table Workshop

Join Alison Johnson at Bellevue Botanical Garden in the Aaron Classroom, to make a Fern Table. First we will watch a slide presentation to inspire and instruct you. Then, on a 18 x 18 floor tile you will select ferns, grasses, one or two ground cover plants, and succulents, small conifers or Hosta (depending on availability when I go plant shopping!) to make your own Fern Table.
You will mix your own specific soil mix suitable for ferns and assemble fern tables using natural pieces of wood, logs, branches, and moss.
We will supply all the materials, but if you have a great piece of interesting wood, or something that could be incorporated into your table, bring it along. Maybe you have some to share with the class?
Please bring garden gloves, wear suitable clothing for gardening and be aware that the completed fern table can be heavy.
