Lecture by Loree Bohl, "The Accidental Dry Garden”
Loree offers her front garden as a case study for planting a vibrant garden that requires minimal water input during our dry summers—an accidental result of planting for a certain look, rather than with water savings in mind. Loree will discuss plant choices, soil prep, and ongoing maintenance issues, as well as share dozens of photos that will hopefully get your plant lust in overdrive.
BIO: Loree is the creative force behind the popular blog Danger Garden, where she shares her love for agaves and all things spiky—as well as a fondness for ferns and a good patch of moss.
Born and raised in Spokane (and having spent her entire life the Pacific NW), Loree knows she’s fortunate to garden in an area with such a lively horticulture community. That said, she loves learning about other regional gardening styles and how climate influences plant choices, so garden travel is high on her list of leisure pursuits. Sharing her passion for plants and garden design is the driving force behind everything that she does, and she’s a firm believer there is always room for one more plant.
